Synthesis was retained by the City of Schenectady and the Village of Scotia to create a vision and conceptual development plan for their respective waterfront areas on the opposite sides of the Mohawk River. Both communities have underutilized riverfronts that fall short of their economic and recreational potential.

The market and feasibility study provides a comprehensive examination and analysis of the environmental conditions, cultural heritage, and market potential of the area. It presents a development plan for the riverfront and adjacent areas that will benefit the two municipalities and provide an attractive waterfront for residents and tourists.
