The Pedestrian Linkage Study and Main Street Improvement Plan is intended to give Hadley a "road map" for developing a public pedestrian infrastructure and visual identity that will compliment the community's vision as it responds to development pressure. Hadley is hoping to regain some of its former vibrancy that it had at the turn of the 19th Century. The community goal was to strive for quaintness associated with small rural New England towns and provide residents and visitors with a clear aesthetic identity of the town.
