Synthesis, working with project leader River Street Planning & Development, and Transportation Concepts, was commissioned by the City of Corning to develop a Master Plan for the City that encompasses the entire city, taking into consideration eight neighborhoods and “use districts” and the unique role of each in the future development of Corning. Our team conducted a thorough analysis of demographics, land use patterns, economic patterns and trends, fiscal characteristics, and environmental conditions and worked with residents and stakeholders to identify issues of concern.

The resulting Master Plan not only laid out a broad and visionary approach to development now and in the future, but focused on a number of catalyst projects that our analysis determined would be most effective in encouraging related development throughout the City.
