Synthesis designed this lakeside home in the Adirondacks region of Upstate New York on the foundations of an earlier structure. This major reconstruction project sought to maximize views of the lake and capitalize on the existing building’s proximity to the shores. The main floor of the home was designed as an open great room, which enhanced the spaciousness of the floor plan and provided unobstructed views of the lake.
The steeply sloping site presented challenges for designing and locating a new two-car Adirondack-style garage, entry stairway and patio. An addition was constructed to the home to create an entry gallery, laundry room and bathroom areas.
