completely restored the exterior of this three-story
1865 masonry building with ground floor retail and two
dwelling units. The design involved the removal of an
obtrusive infill storefront with a new storefront designed
in a historic manner. Details were inspired by a similar
adjacent building and remnants uncovered during demolition.
The interior was rehabilitated and repaired and intact
interior spaces were preserved.
The project was prepared
to meet the Secretary of the Interior’s standards
as required for historic preservation tax credits.
