162 Jay Street, Schenectady, NY 12305, 518 370-1576, Copyright 2009 Synthesis LLP, All Rights Reserved.

Synthesis donated architectural design services for this 6,600-square-foot public pavilion to create a sheltered picnic area in Schenectady’s Central Park. The pavilion was built with cost-effective materials, that are in scale with the natural features of the park. A central masonry chimney accommodates outdoor barbecues in four separate quadrants and a linear skylight allows natural light to enter inner portions of the pavilion.

The Central Park Pavilion won the Honor Award from the Eastern New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
