Synthesis designed a new 5,000 square foot daycare center with large, well-lit rooms for 48 children at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. We developed feasibility studies for 3 separate sites and buildings, all 3 of which are shown on this sheet. The final design was inspired by a small schoolhouse, andwe had fun in creating playful alternatives, such as the “caryakids” holding up the ends of a truss.

Synthesis worked with RPI during the design process to develop feasibility studies and schematic designs for several proposed sites.
