Synthesis provided architectural and interior design services for a new 50-seat lecture hall and conference facility for the Radiology Department at Albany Medical College. The lecture hall design incorporates stepped seating to maximize viewing and a projection booth and multimedia lecture area to control a new lighting and audio/video system.

The new audio/video system includes projection television systems for satellite, video, and slide display and a fully dimmable low-voltage “scene” lighting system to create multiple lighting scenarios. Lighting and audio/visual devices are controlled from the projection room or by the lecturer.

The facility contains multiple x-ray viewing boxes to allow smaller groups the ability to conference. A reception area and medical library were included as part of the design.
