Jardine Group Services Headquarters

Synthesis provided design services for construction of a new two-story office building sited in an office park setting. The exterior features a detailed brick construction with metal stud framing with a featured entry element, and was designed to maximize rentable floor area. The interior spaces featured a large central two-story atrium space with a monumental stairway. Synthesis and Rovetto Design Group were responsible for all material selection, as well as the interior design and detailing of all public spaces.

7 Cornell Road, Latham

Synthesis provided design services for construction of a new two-story office building sited in an office park setting. The exterior features a detailed brick construction with metal stud framing and an asymmetrical entry element. Interior space was designed to maximize rentable floor area and flexibility for future tenants. Synthesis specified the material selection, as well as the design and detailing of public spaces.

GE Global Research Center Facility Master Plan

Synthesis worked with senior managers at the General Electric Global Research Center in Niskayuna, New York to devise creative ways to accommodate more staff. Synthesis met with department heads to evaluate their current needs and projected five-year growth and address new ways that people were working and interacting.

As part of the evaluation, Synthesis benchmarked successful open-office designs at other GE facilities and provided schematic space plans of several typical building areas to demonstrate various office types and space arrangements. This process illustrated the possibility of providing better office space and more functional common areas while increasing occupancy by 15 to 20 percent.

Many of the designs were ultimately incorporated into GE’s short- and long-term plans.

GE Plastics Cash Management Group

Synthesis was retained by General Electric to redesign the Corporate Cash Management department of their Plastics Division Headquarters to increase the ability of people to work together as a team.

Synthesis created custom-designed workstation groupings to maximize the 1,400-square-feet allocated for the department. An indirect lighting scheme and a subdued color scheme allowed this space to become a unique part of the headquarters.
